GTA SA- Save File not present

I download San Andreas from the Internet Archive (link:https://archive.org/details/gta-sa-preinstalled-v-1), and stumbled upon an issue that seems to plague every SA download- save file not present. Did anyone (who found this same issue) manage to fix it?
