Which controller should I buy?

Hey so I’m a heavy controller dpad user, and I honestly love the Xbox series x controller, the wireless version. I love the click/sound they make and personally hate the ps4 controller where the dpad is completely silent and just presses down.

However, despite replacing the dpad, some inputs are getting dropped. (I’ll check tomorrow whether it’s a connection issue or a dpad issue).

Are there any better replacements or should I stick to the Xbox controllers? They have this new dpad which is kind of circular rather than 4 simple squares, not sure how that feels. My friend recommended me the 8bitdo controller so I was considering that as well. Thanks!
