Mouth & left sided numbness
I have been having bouts of unexplained numbness and diminished sensation in my mouth that I have never been able to attribute to any foods or oral exposure to other things (toothpaste, mouthwash, smoking/vaping MMJ, etc). Today I noticed it happening again, but then I was putting lotion on my hands and realized I couldn’t really feel myself touching my left hand. I used something slightly sharp to test different spots on my body, and so far it’s only a weird band that runs down the length of the outside of my left leg (about 2 inches wide), and the top of my left hand/arm from about midway between my elbow and wrist to the tips of my fingers (but only on the top side). No pins and needles feeling, it’s just like that point when lidocaine just starts to take effect…like I can feel, but it doesn’t feel the same or as strong compared to doing the same kind of touch in the same spot on the opposite side of my body. The mouth thing has been happening for a while, but this is the first time I have experienced it on other parts of my body.
Anyone else experience something similar? Just wondering if it’s some weird fibro thing or something worth taking time off of work to head to a doctor to get checked out.
