6 months of Glove80 usage + new MacOS app
Story & Glove80 Review
It's been more than 6 month of Glove80 usage, I wanted to share my thoughts as a first time user of any ergo keyboard.
The main reason I bought the keyboard in the first place is that when using normal mac keyboard's meta keys like option, cmd many times a day, I developed a severe pain in my thumbs which really limits how much you can work.
Glove80 was the best choice because of the low profile keys which had resemblance to mac keys, and the most natural thumb cluster for me. It took roughly a week to get natural at it, and pain in my thumbs never came back (even when working twice as much)
Generally every review in the internet about Glove80 says the truth which it has amazing battery and connectivity, etc. So if anybody experiences the same issues, and looking for generally good option I most definitely recommend :) However single thing I didn't really like the travel case, because it seems too big, I wish there was a slimmer case (may be by placing one half on top of the other), which you could choose when buying instead of a travel case
Also one think to note that I would appreciate if I had known when buying, shipping and customs fees for my country costed additional half of the original price
New app
When using the ergo keyboards you tend to do everything using your keyboard, and there are apps that simulate vimium on macos, like homerow, shortcat, to name a few, however they're all either private or paid or both. That's why I wrote free and open-source alternative for it vimium-native, I saw that there are some people use mac here so I hope somebody finds the app helpful, as much as I did
UPD: Adding app preview because github's video doesn't play for some people
