What’s the best way to learn Estonian?

Whats the best way to Learn Estonian? Every Estonian i walk upto and try to talk with just starts talking in English and make it hard (I know they are trying to make me comfortable but it’s kinda hard to learn that way)

I have been here for two years now and only know the basics of the language and able to read it (in English way)
