In need of apples and oranges!

i'm kind of an animal crossing noob and am not sure if i can obtain these by flying around or sailing out to different naturally occurring islands :( i've been looking with no luck. if anyone would help a brother out in terms of trading (whether that be with items or knowledge)- that would be amazing! any random produce would be useful as well!
