Schumer on his shutdown decision

Its also on Spotify, but I have heard about 50% of it so far...I am not convinced he is giving the best angle on this. That being said his point on "The democrats have neglected social media" is 100% spot on.

- Believes that antisemitism shot up when the "Jewish Elite" theories and George Soros influence theories exploded in early October

- Acknowledges democrats have lost their way as the party of the working class

- Voted in support of the bill because he recognizes all the people this would effect in government and that Musk and Trump would get the agenda done easier (very unspecific). Recognizes all of the social media backlash and he understands why but he needs to move forward

- Was asked if he was the right person to lead the Senate Democrats, he said he feels he is, but needs a collective group on the democratic side to make headways.

- Does not feel republicans will stand up to Trump until his popularity drops below 40%

- Wasn't aware that Biden declined in faculties in early 2024. It wasn't until the debate he saw Biden wasn't the same candidate as 2020 and couldn't win. Said there was no cover-up on Biden's mental state

- Doesn't feel criticism of the Israeli government's handling of the war isn't anti-semetic. But when you attack people for being jewish that's when it crosses the line. He doesn't agree with how Israel went after Palestine to the point of genocide, but Hamas also put the Palestinians in a difficult position (i.e. using them as human shields).

- He's currently looking into what the effects of the 400 million dollars being taken away that was to be given to Columbia

- Recognizes that New York needs to do a better job of reducing violence and disruption from mentally ill people

- Believes that Donald Trump will be a detriment to candidates that align with him in 2026

- Worries about the norms of Democracy will be destroyed by 2026, and believes the only way to keep them is the courts

- Filed over 100 cases against Trump's policies and have won 87% so far. Believes for these wins to be upheld that John Roberts is going to be a key player.

- Even if the Supreme Court upholds the democratic wins, he is worried about Trump keeping on going. But he has talked to multiple Republicans in congress that have said they will work to stop Trump if he violates court orders

- Doesn't feel that the Democratic party is unaware that the Trump administration is trying to make them obsolete, and are fighting hard.
