Does daytrading really works?

What do you all think of this video? I know not everyone will be a profitable day trader, but I want to know if it does work for you, and what strategies you use. I'm new to trading; I've made some gains and losses, but my wins exceed my losses. Maybe I'm just lucky. I kinda hear this from alot of people which made me think it never works for anyone.
