Got an SBI Credit Card Application Email—But I Never Applied for This Card!

I already hold an SBI SimplyCLICK credit card, but today, I received an email about an application for a BPCL SBI Card on RuPay, including an application number. The issue is—I never applied for this card!

Has anyone else faced this? Could this be an internal upgrade, an unauthorized application, or even a fraud attempt? Should I reach out to SBI customer support to clarify, or is this likely a phishing email?

Any advice on how to handle this would be appreciated!
