Religion is man-made nonsense and I don’t understand why people stay so naive and dumb.
Before I start off, I would like to say that I am not bashing on specific ideas from specific religions. I’m bashing on the concept of religion in general.
I still can’t fathom that religion and religious studies are so extremely widespread as they are. There is absolutely nothing rational or logical about the bible or any other sacred religious book for that matter. It’s a man-made concept abused by higher powers to keep the common people in line and profit of their naiveté. They all try to rationalize it by using theories in order to prove there is a God, but its just theories based on very loose and presumptious deductions or adductions that could apply to a bunch of things and as science debunks older theories, they find new ones to take their place. Eg: Every man has a creator, their parents. When philosophers were digging into our beginning, they concluded that because everyone has a creator, the entirety of man must also have a single creator, the one who came before all. You can see this heavily in old bible texts. ‘God made man in his image’ and thus came the birth of the whole Adam and Eve baloney. We now know since the late 19 century with the upcoming of Darwinism that we in fact did have a lesser evolved version of mankind, our ancestors; a species of apes. Later we found out that we came from prozoteans who millions of years ago evolved out of the water and started evolving into the beings we are today. It’s ridiculous to still believe in theories made centuries or even millenniums ago by men who knew 1/100th of the world and its history in comparison to what we now know.
We waged war on those who did not follow the same religion and tried to convert as many as we could. Mankind has an inherent desire to belong to a larger group and disagree fanatically with those who do not belong. Look at football, Man U fans hate Man City players and when your favourite team scores, you celebrate like your one of the players, even though you contributed nothing and have no benefit. We are herd animals and have a need to belong and look down upon those who don’t. Religion is the most succesful form of this instinct. Reason for that is because there are a lot of things we don’t know about the world and the universe and existence itself and religious theories offer a supernatural explanation that brings comfort. ‘Why does x happen? Oh because it’s God. How does he do it? You’re mind cannot begin to fathom what God can do for he as greater than all of us, don’t even try to understand him.’ Is the usual shebang. Or that it’s an insult to your faith if you have to question the competence of God for he is sooo almighty. What happens after death? Oh wow, we’re gonna go to heaven, to paradise, eternal bliss? Can’t name a single person who doesn’t want to believe in that.
I wouldn’t say I’m an atheist because I do believe in a higher form of being than our own in this universe. I differentiate from the rest because these ‘higher beings’ wouldn’t give two shits about us or what we do or how we act. Like they always say ‘God has a plan, God is watching,…’ He’s simply not. Nothing has ever proven that he is. To insinuate that there is a higher form of being you have to take it as such. A HIGHER form of being. We cannot understand how these beings live, think, procreate, if they even do any of that. It’s open to our imagination what they might be, if ‘they’ is even a word to describe a group of higher beings. Is it a sentient form? Is it a multidimensional form. Can they move in 5D, 6D,… We’ll never know. I just know that no God, in whatever religion, is an answer to these questions. I highly doubt that these questions will ever be answered.
That being said, religion has been in many ways a great tool to teach the global population moral values and ethical duties. If there is a definitive sanction ‘in the afterlife’ to a sin you commit in this life, people will try to avoid sinning. There’s an old saying: King says to the Pope: ‘You keep them dumb, and I’ll keep them poor.’ The catholic church is a business. Their product? Religion. Most succesful business on the planet. Islam is up next!
