Feeling Discouraged

My wife and I are serving in a small church I grew up in. I serve as Chief Engineer and IT guy and she does visuals and social media. We feel that we are not being fed because we are so distracted, not by our roles but by the leadership not seeming to take things seriously or consider any opinion that goes against the “way we have always done it”. We have tried to counsel the pastor and other leaders to make some changes in order to modernize and attempt to draw younger people. I’m 33M and she is 32F. We are amongst the youngest in the church as far as adults go. There are a lot of children but the. There is a gap until you get to our age.

Does anyone else have suggestions or arguments to be made to the leadership to help them consider some different ways of doing things?

Some examples are like.

  1. When we have special music slot them in during the offering time as to fill that time with something and not just sit there awkwardly or listen to some random song via PA system.
  2. When there are baptisms do them first and then they be worship set so the folks who are wet have maximum time to dress and rejoin the congregation with minimal distraction.
  3. Start having small groups with each other to help one another though life. Something outside the normal Sunday school lesson.

There are more and maybe we are just used to a larger church but we felt called here and are wondering what Gods purpose is for us here. The people are really nice and welcoming and continually tell us how glad and blessed the church is to have us but yet the don’t seem to want to accept our input

TL:DR - Wife and I came to a small church from a bigger one and feel like they are not listening to our feedback.
