Question about those who don’t have a marriage vocation?

In the church it’s said that one of the main purposes of marriage is for you to help each other get to heaven. So with that in mind, does that mean people who end up being single their whole lives don’t need another person to help them get to heaven? It seems like it’s important for some people to marry while others it’s not or even maybe prevented from happening.
