Next Board after 9’7” Noserider

Looking to add a board to the quiver. I surf in Santa Cruz (mostly at Capitola because it’s an easy bike ride).

I’m pretty competent on my 9’7” pintail noserider, looking for another board to: 1. Have something for those days where it picks up in size a bit. 2. Just become a more well rounded surfer. Main goal is to just always have fun and enjoy the session.

I tried a friends 7’10” x 21.5 x 3 single fin mid length… and while I got up a few times, it still felt like a big jump and a lot of work. Wasn’t super enjoyable. I’m fine with a learning curve but still want to enjoy sessions and have an easy time getting into waves. I’m 5’10” 170lbs.
