Anyone else take cues from your character on who to romance?

I don't know if other people feel this way but I swear my characters react to the companions in unique ways.

When I played a beautiful half-orc paladin she looked like she was in love with Wyll, they had amazing chemistry. They were my mom and dad and the best thing that's ever happened!

I had a tiefling monk who was perfect with Karlach, she looked at Karlach in a way she didn't look at any other character, they had scenes I haven't gotten in other playthroughs, and it really felt like Karlach was in love with her too. But I made that character to try romancing Astarion which I did and I regret it every day!!!! It was so forced with Astarion and Karlach was devastated when I didn't choose her.

Now I have a halfling sorcerer who is just perfect with Astarion. She definitely has crushes on other companions too, but her chemistry with Astarion is very natural and I like how she looks at him. I feel like he has a more gentle vibe than with my monk. I haven't seen any disgust toward my short character like others have said can happen. Last night was the tiefling party and when I tell you my halfling had the horniest eyes I've ever seen...
