Visitor visa concerns (subclass 600) (Tourist) - Brazilian
Hey guys!
For background: my girlfriend is australian and I'm brazilian, she is living is Brazil with me for a little over 1 year. we are organizing a trip to Australia and we intend to stay for about 2 months, but I'm worried about my visa being granted.
At first, I intend to attach the following documents to prove that I have links with Brazil:
- Employment contract. I've been working in a marketing agency for almost a year and, as a requirement, I have to go to the office sometimes.
- A letter from my boss stating that she is aware of my trip and describing my obligation to return to Brazil.
- My rental contract, which is for 18 months
- Invitation letter from my girlfriend's mother, in which she describes that I won't be spending any money on accommodation etc.
- Bank account with 5k USD or maybe more (I'm worried about this too, because my girlfriend will be transferring this money to me and I'm afraid this will cause issues. I intend to transfer this money from one personal savings account to another so it looks like mine, to use in the application. What do you think?)
- An active employee declaration on behalf of my company
Another point that worries me is that my passport is recent and I've never traveled internationally before.
I would like to know what Australia's track record is in granting visas to South Americans, especially Brazilians. Is it relevant to mention that my girlfriend has a permanent visa in Brazil and that we are in a stable union, to prove that we have no reason to stay in Australia?
Thank you to anyone who can help me and I'm open to suggestions of documents I can attach to make my application stronger! ☺️
