Manhattan date night dinner spot that’s more casual?

Hi all, I am in NY working for a month and my wife is coming up this weekend to visit. We don’t often get time alone anymore after becoming parents so I am looking for something nice. Only issue is we are from the beach in Florida so don’t have super nice winter outfits for fancy places. Money really isn’t an issue, but I don’t want to look like a schlep if I make reservations and it’s got a dress code or something. Can any of y’all recommend a good spot for a Friday date night spot? We are staying on 37th and 5th but was thinking about checking out east village. Thanks!
