Has anyone successfully raised a family in an Asian community without the education pressure?
Note: My question is not for Asians who ended up marrying a non-Asian and raising their kids in a non-Asian community.
I don't want to send my kids to cram schools.
I know East Asian cultures look down on uneducated people.
So if I raised my kids to be like normal kids, would the rest of the Asian community ostracize them for "being uneducated?"
If I raised my kids to be normal kids in California, would they get shuned by other Asian families?
What if I raised them in an East Asian country? I know places like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan bring in brown immigrants to do physical labor and they get looked down upon.
