What aquarium fish might look similar to popular game fish?

So, I recently finished setting up a tank for some galaxy rasboras; I loved them because they reminded me so much of brook trout. But it got me thinking; are there any other fish that look like popular game fish? specifically in North America; So for example: A fish that looks like a miniature salmon, or a channel cat, or a bass. Catch my drift? Any information helps, because I'd love to do a themed tank around that kind of thing. Thanks
