Question from Aus: why are many left leaning voters against Kamala over Palestine?
In Australia we have seen quite a few news articles emerging with a theme - left leaning voters opposing Kamala because she isn't hard on Israel. From an outsiders perspective it looks like Kamala is being smart - focusing on domestic policy. Once they are in office they can then be harder on Israel as they don't have to worry about backlash from the pro-israel part of the population at the polls. Despite this some are going to vote against her because of the Palestine issue. But from what we have heard Trump would be worse for Palestine? I get they want more done on the issue, but this seems like a bad tactic.
Sorry for the confusion, it just seems self sabotaging if they actually want to help Palestine. Are we missing some America specific context that would make this opposition to Kamala make more sense?
