Warning regarding a new kind of scam!

Last night I discovered a new kind of scam, and I'd like to spread awareness about it. I was scammed out of two FR bat dragons because of it. Now this scam involves one man (the scammer) and your friend (the kind of middleman, the important one in the scam) and you, the victim. The scammer would have a pet you want, and suggest you have a friend join to prove you are trusted before doing the trade. (They may also say they could temporarily trade with you instead.) The scammer would then have you "trust trade" your pets back and forth to your friend to prove you are trusted. Now since this is your friend, you would do so to get the pet the scammer has and prove your "trustworthiness". After you and your friend trade back and forth once, the scammer would create a spoofed account, very similar in username to yours. (With my user being DiamondGoggles1, the spoofed account's name was DiamondGoggle1) Then the scammer would ask you to trade to your friend once again, because they did not pay attention and realize you had already traded. Once your friend has your pet, they will think they will trade it back to you, but will actually trade your pets to the fake, spoofed account. Then the fake account would trade your pets to the scammer, leaving you with nothing. In my case, after I realized my bat dragons were gone, I told the scammer because we would no longer be able to do the trade, he tried to convince me to trade the rest of my good pets to my friend, to which I said absolutely not. Soon after my friend left, the scammer revealed that he had my bat dragons and that I had been scammed. For your information, the scammer's name was OFFG30RGE. I've already reported this to Adopt Me, and they are not able to do anything about it, so I'm taking it into my own hands to raise awareness. I've decided to quit Adopt Me because I have already lost so much in the past, and I just give up.

edit: I've realized this isn't a new scam, but I just hadn't experienced it beforehand. I also know it was something stupid that I shouldn't have fell for, but it's too late to change the past. Now, I'm just trying to warn people so they don't make the same dumb mistakes I did.
