Well-suited jobs
Just wondering if anyone has found a job that actually keeps their brain engaged?
Context: I have ADHD inattentive type. Diagnosed late 20s so spent much of my life masking and just working harder. Quite academic and ended up in an academic but corporate role.
Trouble I have is that once my brain has decided something is no longer shiny and new, it gets bored and completely disengages and trying to get it back is actually really really hard (sure you understand!). But obviously I need to work and I need to be engaged otherwise I make mistakes and that's not allowed in my job.
Starting to think of a complete overhaul and finding something that would be more naturally aligned. Is it worth it? Or are there hacks to help where I am now? That don't include spending all my money on little treats to provide that sweet dopamine.
Thanks!
